Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at New Jersey
Hospital Association building in Princeton. We will be joined in
the morning by Joanne Maxwell to provide us with information
about the MDS 3.0, slated to begin this October. Joanne joins us
fresh from the training sessions provided for the Department of
Health. She will also present information about F441, recently
updated. Addressing infection control, this section also
includes pieces from F371, sanitation standards for Food
Services.
In the afternoon, we
will be presented with an update on Food and Medication
interactions by Zaneta Pronsky and Sr. Jeanne. This will include
sections on psychotropic medications and the potential
interactions between herbs, dietary supplements and medications,
both growing concerns.
The new edition of
Food Medications Interaction will be available for purchase.
New feature: If you
have questions about the survey process in your facility, please
submit them to M. Piciocco at
mary.piciocco@gmail.com ahead of time. We will forward them
to Joanne so that she may address them that morning. Deadline
for submissions is April 15th (tax day!) so that she can
research the answers for you. Please put in your email subject
line Questions for the State so they are not
overlooked.
