Diet Manual Order Form
Members of the
New Jersey Dietitians in Health Care Facilities have written this diet manual
for use by physicians, nurses, dietitians, food service managers,
and other health care professionals as a reference guide for
planning the nutritional care for residents of health care
facilities.
The format
is useful to explain the purpose of each diet, with descriptions,
meal planning guidelines and a sample menu. Many
pages are appropriate as handouts to instruct residents and
families. Tabs separating the sections will make this
manual easy and convenient to use. The chapters address
a wide variety of nutritional requirements, and are intended
for adults 18 years or older. A special section on feeding
problems has been included to address the issues often faced
in providing adequate nutrition for the resident in long term
care.
